CEU's
It is planned that Continuing Education Units (CEU’s) will be available for physical therapists and occupational therapists. All conference participants will receive a certificate confirming their attendance at the conference.
For Physical Therapists we are approved to offer 2.3 credits of CEU’s for the 3 day conference. One day registration will also count according to the number of hours (Wednesday and Thursday = .8 and Friday = .7). Please let us know ahead of time that you wish to take advantage of this offer. We are waiting for approval for the Occupational Therapists.
OT’s can earn a maximum of 22 contact hours for attending the 3 day conference; 7 for Day 1, and 7.5 each for Days 2 & 3 if one-day registration is used.
Baltimore
We invite you to explore Baltimore, a vibrant city on the water where you will find something new around every corner. Baltimore’s world-renowned Inner Harbor is surrounded by historic neighborhoods where you will find city living at its best with unique shops and restaurants for every style and taste. The city enjoys a vibrant arts scene and embraces its history and influence on American culture.
DCD - GRADUATE COURSE
We are very pleased to announce that we have a 3-credit graduate course offering from the U. of Maryland, College Park, Department of Kinesiology on "Developmental Coordination Disorder: Mechanisms, Assesment, and Intervention." Graduate students who are not UM graduate may register for the course as a "visiting" graduate student and will pay in-state tuition. A copy of the course syllabus as well as information about how to register for the course are available below for download.
The course is a "hybrid" - with online components before and after the conference. During the conference, besides attending the lectures and viewing the poster presentations, students enrolled in the class will participate in discussions with the course faculty and other graduate students.
While we encourage all students to complete the assignments by the course termination on July 3, accommodations for submitting materials later in the summer are possible. This is a great opportunity to attend a conference and hear internationally recognized scholars on DCD and do more in-depth reading with feedback and interaction with faculty who themselves have experience with children with DCD.
