Research Areas : Cognitive Motor Neuroscience
Research Focus : Biomechanics, Exercise Intervention, Motor Control, Motor Development, Motor Learning, Movement Disorders, Physical Activity Intervention, Sensorimotor Integration
Introduction : I am a PhD candidate in the Neuromechanics Lab and work with Dr Jae Kun Shim. My research areas are motor behavior and control, neuromuscular biomechanics, human motion analysis, human factors, cognitive psychology and human computer interaction(HCI). My current research is focused on understanding how the central nervous system (CNS) controls the pressing and prehensile movements of a complex system like the human hand. Specifically, I am studying the role of different sensory feedback mechanisms in performing maximal and sub maximal force production tasks with the hands.
