Overview.
The Center for Health Behavior Research is located in the Department of Public
and Community Health at the University of Maryland. The Center contributes to
the departmental vision of applying the science, theory and practice of public
health towards the enhancement of the population health status.
The Center features a renovated facility positioned 10 miles from the nation’s
capital, the world’s largest and most influential political maze, and
a stone’s throw from every major federal funding agency. As a result,
The Center strives to build strong alliances with federal agencies, health volunteer
agencies, foundations, and the business community throughout the nation’s
capital and the world in order to enhance our ability to accommodate a variety
of study protocols. The Center consists of a psychological counseling and social
support office, a medical exam room, a blood draw room, a wet lab, reception
area and large storage room for case report forms.
The Center for Health Behavior Research is positioned to meet a tremendous
health-care need, ideally structured for maximum impact. We are located in College
Park, Maryland, easily accessible by air from Baltimore, MD, Washington, DC
and Dulles, VA.
