Appointments

Make an appointment to see a family therapist by calling the Center for Healthy Families at 301.405.3659 or 301.405.2273. Requests for service are taken by a staff member. When no staff member is available, an answering machine takes messages. Requests are promptly assigned to a therapist who will call to set up an initial appointment. Clients can expect to be contacted by a family therapist within one week of their initial request for service. Both day and evening appointments are available.

Clients Eligible for Services

Clients may live anywhere in the Maryland/Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The Center for Healthy Families does not restrict its services to clients living in a specific geographic area. Fees

Center for Healthy Families fees are on a sliding scale ranging from $20 to $60 per session based on a family's income. These fees cover only a small part of the cost of providing service. Payment by cash or check is expected after each session. Cancellation of appointments must be made at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled session or the fee will be charged for the missed appointment.

A special fund has been established to provide couple and family therapy services to veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars (10 sessions at no cost). Please inform the intake therapist if you are a veteran and would like to take advantage of these services.
