Mission

The mission of RSVPI is to develop, support and enhance volunteer programs for individuals 50+ through a network of global partnerships that utilizes the skills, knowledge, time, talents and experiences of older adults to address local community needs.

Making a Difference

In the past ten years and now as we now enter the 21st Century we have witnessed the acceleration of a global marketplace. Technology and other socioeconomic forces have broken down the once formidable geographic barriers thus creating a global network of ideas and programs that have created an interdependence among nations. This globalization has taken place on every continent in the world and is attested to through trade agreements, telecommunication systems, industrial mergers, United Nation’s policies and programs and other sociopolitical alliances.

A universal phenomenon with global implications is the world’s aging population. A dearth of community resources is anticipated to meet the needs of the rapid acceleration of older persons. At the same time, young retirees represent the most underutilized available human resource to meet the growing needs of countries, communities and neighborhoods around the world.
