Maternal and Child Health (MCH) doctoral candidate Mili Duggal has been awarded the 2012-2013 Ethel L. Parker International Graduate Fellowship award from the American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences (AAFCS). This award supports Mili's continued academic pursuits in the Family Science Department at the University of Maryland's School of Public Health. It includes a $5,000 fellowship and an additional $1,000 to support a year-long AAFCS membership and participation in the professional organizations annual conference. This award was established in honor of Ethel Parker, an active member in AAFCS and head of Home Economics Education at the University of Kentucky. It honors students who are either from another country or have specific goals related to study in another country and exhibit the potential to make contributions to the family and consumer sciences profession.
The Department congratulates Mili on this great honor!
