President Mote signed the Amethyst Initiative this summer with the goal of facilitating an open dialogue about alcohol use on our campus. In order to fulfill this promise, we organized a campus-wide Alcohol Summit of October 30, 2009. We brought faculty, staff, and students together to learn about the latest research, hear student perspectives, share resources, and engage in an open discussion about the many facets of problem drinking.
Sponsored by the President's Office, the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences, the School of Public Health, the Division of Student Affairs and the UMAlcohol Coalition. |
