Celebration
of Women Athletes |
 |
 |
What a truly enjoyable yet long overdue celebration of our women athletes prior to
the days of Title IX. These women played for the love of the sport and expected and received little in return.
Hopefully that was all "undone" this weekend when over 110 women received their Varsity "M" and
entry to the M Club! In spite of a snowstorm, over 200 people looked on as the women were honored at a reception
and dinner on Friday evening at the Inn and Conference Center hosted by the Athletic Department and the M Club.

Jerry
Wrenn Scholarship 2004 Golf Scramble |
 |
 |
Dr. Jerry Wrenn's committment to undergraduate
education was evident throughout his tenure in the College of Health
and Human Performance and it was his vision to better serve undergraduates
who may not otherwise be able to finish their degree due to financial
constraints. Dr. Vicki Annand, Assistant Dean for Student Services,
embraced the idea which was extended by the HHP Alumni Board to include
a golf tournament to help raise funds. So on Friday, August 6th, 2004,
at 8AM, the First Annual Jerry Wrenn Scholarship Golf Scramble teed
