On December 1st, 2009, Rima Rudd spoke on the concepts of health literacy.
Rima Rudd, ScD, MSPH, is the first Visiting Health Literacy Senior Scholar for the University of Maryland's School of Public Health Herschel S. Horowitz Center for Health Literacy.
She is in residence periodically during the academic year. Dr. Rudd is a leader in the new field of health literacy research. In June, 2009, she was awarded the
Pfizer Health Literacy in Advancing Patient Safety Award.
