Public Health Research@Maryland
Join us for the first annual Public Health Research@Maryland, an MPowering the State event sponsored by the School of Public Health and the Department of Epidemiology and Public Health in the School of Medicine.
Public Health Research@Maryland 2013 will showcase and enhance collaborative research relevant to promoting the public's health. The day-long event, scheduled for Thursday, April 4, 2013 from 9:30 AM–3:30 PM, will be launched by a keynote lecture given by D.A. Henderson, and will be followed by activities that include a poster session, networking panel roundtables and a closing reception.
We invite faculty and student researchers across both the University of Maryland, College Park and Baltimore campuses, as well as community and state partners, to take part in activities that bring together diverse disciplines developing solutions for healthy lifestyles, families, communities and policies.

The Division of Research will hold a New Faculty Research Orientation to provide an opportunity for new faculty to meet with senior research administrators, hear about the research environment at the University of Maryland, and discover new ways to successfully translate proposal ideas into a project. This is an opportunity for students and faculty to present their research and to network at this campus-wide annual event highlighting research in the biosciences.
