Dr. Viki AnnandAssistant DeanDr. Viki S. Annand is Assistant Dean. She has been on the faculty at the University of Maryland for 27 years. Before working in the school office, she was a faculty member in therapeutic recreation where she taught both graduate and undergraduate classes. Dr. Annand is the person to see whenever you need Dean's exception to policy. She is responsible for all student services including recruitment, retention, and orientation. Her most important job is to serve as an advocate for students. Her favorite part of the job is empowering students to be responsible for their own actions. Dr. Annand has four children, two grandchildren, and a dog of whom she is very, very fond. In her spare time she likes running, working out, reading, and traveling...oh, and walking the dog. She is best known for her berry pies, infectious laugh, and ready box of Kleenex. Dr Annand's email is vannand@umd.edu. |

Sandra QuinnAdvisorSandra is an advisor for the Student Services Center. Sandra works primarily with student athletes pursuing majors within the School of Public Health. She also coordinates freshmen and transfer orientation programs. Sandra comes to UMD with an extensive background in academic advising and student services. She worked as an advisor and instructor at both Old Dominion University and Boise State University. Sandra is an alumna of Boise State University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in Finance and a master's degree in Education with an emphasis in Educational Technology. Erin ThielAdvisorErin Thiel is an advisor for the Student Service Center. Erin primarily advises students in the school that are having academic difficulties. She also coordinates various programs within the school including career series workshops and recruitment activities. She is also responsible for developing and maintaining the website. Erin completed her undergraduate degree at UMD in 2003 and recently completed her Master's degree in Student Affairs in Higher Education at Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2005.
